David "Magic Man" Taylor, son of Dave and Kathy Taylor, was born in Reno,NV but raised in St. Paris, Ohio and won his four Ohio State titles for Paris-Graham High School, where he also won the prestigious Dave Schultz National Award while earning High Honors. He's a Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Major with a Business Minor and a 3.5 GPA. He relaxes sometimes with a Frisbee and a chipotle meal, while listening to Eminem, and Rap. He got caught and pinned in the NCAA final at 157, last March, but that was his only loss of the season and didn't dim the luster of his astonishing Freshman achievements recognized in many awards including Big 10 Freshman and Wrestler of the Year and Penn State's Outstanding Wrestler. It's hard to imagine a greater honor than being named the best on a team of stars that became the NCAA Champs of 2011. Up a weight this year, he will start the season ranked #1 at 165.
